Fibaro Z-Wave Dimmer 2
$89.00 - $91.00
Rated 5.00 out of 5
The Fibaro Z-Wave Dimmer (V2) is a highly configurable z-wave dimmer with features such as soft start and memory of the last lighting level settings. This is a 2 or 3 wire device so it does not require a neutral connection. Retrofittable and compatible with virtually any dimmable lighting. Dimmer 2 has been designed to work with virtually any light switch… new or old. It installs invisibly behind them, enhancing their functionality instead of completely replacing it.
Compatible...
Compatible with Clipsal 2000 Series wall switch plates, including…
Clipsal 2000 Series
Clipsal Classic 2000 Series
Clipsal Slimline SC2000 Series
How it works...
Your electrician simply wires the Momentary Bell Press Mechanism with your Z-Wave Dimmer module – which in turn is installed into your Clipsal 2000 Series switch plate.
Once installed, a quick press and release will turn the lights on / off – pressing and holding will also allow dimming / brightening from your Clipsal 2000 wall-switch – as well as smart Z-Wave control of course.
What it does...
The best of both Worlds…
Now your Z-Wave enabled dimmable lighting can be dimmed either manually from your Clipsal 2000 Series wall switch or your Z-Wave Gateway Controller – in perfect unison.
Manual dimming switch control
Z-Wave wireless smart control
Is this necessary?
Put simply… No (it is completely optional).
Virtually any normal switch mechanism will work with a Z-Wave Dimmer module – for turning your lights on and off. However, if you would also like to be able to dim your lights manually from your Clipsal 2000 Series wall switch, then this “Momentary Bell Press” mechanism is required. Either way, you will always be able to dim your lights via Z-Wave smart control.

Horribly mushy action when they work properly and two out of the four I bought now seem to get stuck pressed in and are difficult to tell whether they’ve been pressed properly or not. Very poor product, not what you’d expect from Clipsal.
