Traditional PIR motion sensors have one major flaw… they rely on movement to work. So if you stay still for a length of time, you need to madly wave your arms around like a monkey to trigger them again.
The Aqara FP2 presence sensor is built different. Rather than infra-red detection, it use millimeter-wave radar technology to accurately detect the presence in a room of up to 5 people… even if they are perfectly still.
